The increase of 3,60 lira will take effect on 1 Eylül 2026, comprising 3 lira Özel Tüketim Vergisi (ÖTV) and 60 kuruş Katma Değer Vergisi (KDV). This adjustment follows the gradual reintroduction of ÖTV, which had been zero, and will be reflected in fuel prices in a staggered manner. The change is based on official tax data and will directly affect drivers’ monthly budgets. The 3 lira ÖTV increase aligns with the government’s revised consumption tax schedule. The new motorin prices will be 81,08 lira in Istanbul, 82,20 lira in Ankara, 82,47 lira in Izmir, and 83,93 lira in eastern provinces. These price adjustments reflect the updated tax structure for motorin across all provinces.
